This week has been a bit hectic so far, catching up from being out of town and preparing for Scott’s birthday coming up this weekend. Add on some crazy projects at work and you have busy times in the H household, that’s for sure. But take a look at one of my nephews, that we finally got a chance to spend some quality time with. Isn’t he the cutest?
After a weekend with the family, I got to thinking a little bit about this ol’ blog. When I first set out to write this, I wanted to make this a site to share the trials and tribulations that we’ve encountered working on fixing up our home, as well as a forum for sharing any ideas that I came across for cheap and crafty DIY projects. This blog is still that, but I want to expand the content a bit to include other aspects of my life and those around me. Let’s face it: in a time of recession, it’s tough to constantly be updating our house without breaking the bank, or feeling a bit of guilt for spending frivolously. At first, I didn’t want to include any personal aspects for all of the world to read (ie. 50 people, max), but the more I write, the more I see this blog as a personal journal of sorts. I find myself flipping back through old posts to see where I’ve been and what I’ve accomplished, and I want to expand on that just a bit, for purely selfish reasons. And hopefully for your benefit as well. I promise this won’t turn into a tell all of what I wore today or how my legs are still sore from a 5k on Saturday, but I will delve a bit more into my life, my marriage and general musings on life around me.
Now’s where you fit in. Is this idea absolute crap, or do you have any suggestions of things you’d like to read about? Feel free to throw out some ideas… or 2 shouts for more Charlie related posts. I’m down either way.

No, I don’t think this is crap. Just keep writing. I do love lots of pictures and step by step things when I am skimming other blogs. I like the variety you have.
Oh, and more Charlie pics, any time.
yay! i like it all. i love your DIY projects and such but I also just simply love you. so write what you feel like.. we will keep reading! muah!
Spill it girl!! It makes my day and makes me feel like there are ways that I can be creative too, plus I love the stories about the hubs and Charlie – the adventures of a young married couple!!
Because of your whit, you can write anything you want and I’d find it entertaining…but…as I am working (slowly-because of the whole recession thing) on my living room, I am struggling on my mantle. So, if you want to do a post on mantle ideas-that would be great!

I’ve been away from reading your blog lately but I want to tell you to make it whatever you want! You are the one that has to come up with the stuff to tell all of us blog stalkers! :) Thanks for what you do!
