One of my best buds and her fiance are getting married next spring and asked that I take some engagement pictures for them since their wedding photographer isn’t local. I had the luxury of A) a friend with a vision and B) some time to plan with said friend, so I think this shoot really turned out pretty darn cute. Jen and Anthony are two of the nicest people I know – and so cute it’s almost nauseating (but in a good way, Jen!). I like to think I played a small part in their getting together, since I urged her to date the insistent boy and that he was, in fact, a catch. Anthony brings out the best in my best bud, and these pictures definitely showcase that. They survived the sweltering heat and donned some fetching southern attire to get the look that Jen wanted for her save the dates. Guys, thanks for letting me practice on you and I hope you love these images as much as I do! You guys are the best!
Seersucker? Check. Argyle backdrop? Check. Balloons? Check. I see a save the date in this picture’s future. Some people have asked if I added the argyle pattern in photoshop and the answer is no! We found this awesome dock door (did I just say “awesome” and “dock door” in the same sentence?) while walking through Uptown and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Their reception will be at the new Mint Museum in Uptown Charlotte. The modern structure has so many great little vignettes of texture/architecture. Plus, these two are super photogenic – win win, right?
Jen and I are avid Florida State Seminole fans, so this color combo panged us a bit. But, I love the outcome, regardless of those pesky Gators. :)
They’re considering using wine corks as a part of their wedding decor, so I brought some along for some funny pictures. Who doesn’t love a cork mustache?
Yeah, I have good looking, photogenic friends. Don’t hate me. Leave a comment with your favorite photo!

Wow! Great job! Jen looks beautiful. That first photo is magazine material.
Yea, I guess if I had to choose the first would be my favorite, but the cork-stache is pretty cool too. Seriously, great job!
Audrey these are awesome!! But I’m pretty sure if you zoom in on the first picture you’ll see Antho giving me the stink eye. That’s why far away pictures are so nice. I don’t know which one is my favorite! I do love the last one with the Mint in the background.
We had such a great time with you, even in the sticky heat. You are such a wonderful friend…thank you so much for doing this for us – you’re amazing!
I can’t wait to see the rest!! :)
Outstanding!! I love them all. Yes your subjects are very photogenic but your skills as a photgrapher are amazing. Thank you for doing this. It is a gift that will last for generations.
Audrey these are amazing! You are so talented! Jen looks absolutely gorgeous and they make such a cute couple!!! I love them!
Audrey – These pictures are amazing!! Jen looks beautiful as always and her and Anthony make such a cute couple which you captured so beautifully!!
Audrey – These are amazing!!! It doesn’t hurt that Jen and Anthony are so freakin’ gorgeous together :-) I think I like the first one the best but the 2nd one is so sweet. Gotta love the cork pics – #2 in that batch is too cute. So hard to pick just one because they are all fantastic!
I like the last one with the Mint.
My favorite is a toss-up between the “awesome dock door” and third from the top where she is laughing and he’s looking at her smiling. Great photos – what a great service to your friends!
I am totally in love with the “awesome dock door” but I love them all! These photos are truly amazing and magazine worthy! You rock!
Wow! ALL amazing pix! My 1st favorite is the last (Mint backdrop)
2nd favorite is the first (awesome dock door). What a great couple, btw!
I love these! The balloons really make their blue eyes pop.
Beautiful pictures…and that dress is too cute! Do you happen to know where she bought it?
Thanks Natalie! I found it online at MetroPark USA. It’s the Seersucker Gathered Tube Dress.
Congrats Jen! You look beautiful!
